We didn't start this because we were looking for a business. We started because something didn't add up.
Over the years, cancer kept getting closer. We've both experienced loss in our families. Liz lost her grandfather to brain cancer and her grandmother to breast cancer. Micah lost his mother-in-law to bone cancer and his aunt to breast cancer.
At some point, you stop seeing it as "just life" and you start asking different questions. "How is this so common? Why does it feel like everyone knows someone? Why are people doing everything 'right' and still ending up here?"
At the same time, we were feeling it ourselves. Micah was dealing with ongoing gut issues. No matter how clean he ate, and despite being a fitness professional, something still wasn't right.
And even with years in dietetics, nutrition, and the Air Force, Liz couldn't ignore it either. IBS, brain fog, low energy, inflammation... that quiet feeling of: "Why don't I feel as good as I should?"
We weren't new to health. We were the people others came to for answers. Which made it even more frustrating.
We had spent years focusing on everything around our health and overlooked the one thing at the center of it. Water. Not just how much we drink, but what it's actually doing inside the body.
The first time we saw it tested, we both just stood there. Because what we saw didn't match what we'd been educated on in school. That moment changed everything.
